The Challenge
Established in 1975, Al Hassan Group is one of the leading business groups in Oman, manufacturing low and high-voltage switchgear panels and trading electromechanical items. It migrated from a third-party WMS to Oracle Fusion WMS Cloud, using the Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) integrations provided by Oracle Integration Cloud.
The OOTB integrations were read-only with minimal room for extension, did not support Al Hassan’s multiple Business Units (BUs) and custom data requirements, and lacked WMS-specific processes such as item repacking and shipping blocks, which created operational delays.
Pre-built integrations often fall short in addressing complex and changing business needs. Al Hassan engaged 4i as its implementation and customization partner.
The Solution
4i extended the procurement and order management OOTB integrations to support multiple BUs, enhanced data mappings externally to align with Al Hassan’s business expectations, and added conditional logic to control integration routing based on business context.
New integrations were also developed: an Item Master interface that syncs items created or updated in Fusion ERP to Fusion WMS in real time using App-Driven Orchestration, a Repack loop-back integration that moves items from “Picked” to “Packed”, and a Shipping Block interface that prevents outdated sales orders from being processed in WMS.
