The Challenge
Pharmatrade is a leading distribution company in the UAE supplying a comprehensive range of medical and pharmaceutical products to hospitals, clinics, laboratories, diagnostic centers and retail pharmacies, and is the exclusive UAE distributor for major pharma companies.
Its Dubai warehouse covers 60,000 sq ft of air-conditioned space to MOH specifications. The client previously relied on manual processes that were time consuming and not optimized, and aimed to automate receiving, picking, inventory management, shipping and order management with Oracle WMS.
Maintaining prompt delivery and adequate inventory is a top priority for a healthcare products distributor.
The Solution
4i implemented the built-in, highly efficient and flexible Oracle WMS, configured standard MSCA features, and developed a custom mobile application for cycle counting of reserved items, all integrated with Oracle EBS.
The team automated pick-and-pack area processes and cold store chain management processes, and enabled six existing inventory organizations with WMS.
