The Challenge
Bank Sohar is a prominent financial institution in Oman, operating a growing network of over 55 branches with onsite ATMs and more than 55 offsite ATMs.
The bank needed compliant and efficient operations for its newly formed Saudi (KSA) entity: aligning with Saudi banking regulations and statutory requirements, integrating with existing core banking and payroll systems, and supporting both conventional and Shariah-compliant (Islamic) accounting.
Managing change effectively was essential to ensure user adoption, minimize disruption and enable efficient financial reporting and approvals.
The Solution
4i delivered an as-is rollout of Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement and HCM for the Saudi (KSA) entity, covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, HCM and Payroll, with VAT configuration enabled for KSA.
Up to 10 interfaces were configured, including inbound core banking to GL, outbound AP vendor and HR/payroll payments, conventional and Islamic accounting interfaces, and a file-based interface with the Saudi HRMS payroll system and bank GL. 4i also configured 6 workflow/AME setups and developed 6 Forms/OAF customizations.
