The Challenge
Nama Water Services is a national utility provider in Oman offering water and wastewater services to residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Formed through the merger of the Public Authority of Water and Haya Water, it operates with a workforce of over 2,000 employees.
Nama was operating on Oracle E-Business Suite in an on-premises environment. With 3,000+ daily records and a growing number of employee requests, the legacy system presented challenges in scalability, performance and user experience, while manual HR workflows, limited self-service and inefficient approvals created bottlenecks.
Nama required a cloud-first, integrated and modern platform to enhance digital employee interaction across departments.
The Solution
4i executed a comprehensive OCI-powered transformation over 9–10 months, using Oracle Digital Assistant for an AI-powered employee chatbot and Oracle Visual Builder for a custom mobile application and employee self-service portal.
The legacy E-Forms application was migrated to OCI Compute, Process Cloud Service automated workflows, and Oracle API Gateway enabled inbound and outbound integrations with Oracle Fusion, including a biometric integration with the Ontime time and attendance system.
